What clinics send
• Appointment reminders the day before, and on the morning.
• Prescriptions ready for pickup.
• Results ready: ask the patient to call or visit, without the results in the SMS.
• Opening hours, closures and vaccination days.
Schedule once, send on time
Schedule reminders ahead from the dashboard, or send them from your clinic system through the SMS API. Every message shows its status, and Delivered appears only when the patient's phone confirms it.
Keep health details out of the message
Anyone holding the phone can read an SMS. Keep diagnoses and results out of the text: say that something is ready and how to reach you. Patients' numbers are kept apart from every other organization's data, and opt-outs are honoured on every send.

Frequently asked questions
When should we send appointment reminders?
Many clinics send one the day before and one a few hours before. You can schedule both when you book the appointment.
Can we write the reminders in Kiswahili?
Yes. Write in Kiswahili or English with plain letters, without accents or emoji.
Do we need our own sender name?
Yes, so patients know the message comes from your clinic. Request it in the dashboard; our sender ID guide explains the rules.
